Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed the Agriculture Department to assist and convince the farmers on switching their tube wells to solar energy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that with the installation of the solar panels on the tube wells the farmers will get reduced electricity bills.
The Chief Minister said that conversion of tube wells to solar energy instead of electricity will not only benefit the farmers but will also help in reducing the load on national grid.
