A mother of seven was allegedly killed by her husband’s nephews in Kot Mithan, with the victim reportedly being shot before the attackers struck her body with axes, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the incident took place in the Rakh Daima area, where the woman was allegedly attacked and killed. Kot Mithan police registered a case and arrested five suspects in connection with the murder.
According to the victim’s husband, the suspects also threatened to kill him and his children. He said three of the suspects were currently on interim bail and maintained that his wife had been innocent and was killed without justification.
He said his four-month-old daughter had been deprived of her mother and appealed to the authorities to arrest the remaining suspects and give them the strictest possible punishment.
The victim’s husband also alleged that the attackers wanted to kill him and his children. He appealed to the Punjab chief minister and inspector general of police for justice and called for the suspects to be handed over to the Crime Control Department.
