A woman and a young man were shot dead allegedly over an accusation of so-called ‘honour’ in Ghotki, Sindh, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the local police, the incident took place in Malook Sheikh village in Kacho Bandi, where a man allegedly opened fire on his wife and a young man, accusing them of having an improper relationship.
Police said the alleged suspect, Khandal Sheikh, shot dead his wife, Malookan, and the young man, Noor Hassan Sheikh.
The suspect fled the scene after the incident. Police shifted the bodies of both victims to the hospital for medico-legal procedures and launched an investigation.
Police said efforts were under way to trace and arrest the alleged killer.
