Two dacoits were killed during a police encounter in Lahore, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The police encounter took place in the Shahdara area of Lahore. Police said that three dacoits were escaping after committing a robbery in a house when they were intercepted by a police team at Saghian Bridge. After taking notice of the police party, the dacoits started firing in retaliation.
During a heavy exchange of fire, two dacoits died on the spot, and their third colleague was apprehended in an injured condition.
Superintendent of Police City Atif Mir said that police recovered a pistol magazine, bullets, and a motorcycle from the custody of the dacoits.
SP Atif Mir said that these accused had also injured two citizens in Sheikupura during a robbery attempt.
