Shamaila Imran Farooq, the wife of MQM founder Dr Imran Farooq, has passed away, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
According to family sources, she had been receiving treatment for cancer at a local hospital in London.
Shamaila had been battling the illness for several years.
After the tragic assassination of Dr Imran Farooq, she lived a life of hardship in London alongside her two sons, Aali Shan and Wijdan.
Messages of condolence have started pouring in from political circles and members of the community.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced shortly, as family, friends, and well-wishers prepare to pay their final respects.
