Islamabad’s schools and colleges have officially announced their winter vacation schedule, with all institutions under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) set to remain closed from December 26, 2025, to January 3, 2026, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a notification, academic activities will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026
The Federal Directorate of Education confirmed that the holidays will apply to all Islamabad Model Schools and Colleges in both urban and rural areas. The notification, issued with the approval of the Director General FDE, has been circulated to all institutions through Area Education Officers.
An FDE official stated, “The winter vacation schedule has been finalised keeping in view weather conditions and academic planning.”
The Directorate also announced that Saturday, January 10, 2026, will be observed as a working day for administrative, teaching, and non-teaching staff.
Officials will report for duty to complete priority tasks already communicated by the department.
The announcement provides clarity to students, parents, and educators, allowing institutions to plan academic activities smoothly amid seasonal weather conditions.
