A shocking case of cheating in the police recruitment process has emerged, where the son of a police constable attempted to bypass the mandatory running test by arriving at the finish line on a motorcycle.
According to reports, Constable Tauseef, who was stationed at Sakhi Sarwar police station, was caught red-handed while bringing his son Adeel to the finish line of the recruitment race on a motorcycle instead of letting him complete the run.
However, as police intervened, Adeel managed to escape, while his father was arrested on the spot.
The incident prompted immediate action from RPO Dera Ghazi Khan Captain (Retd.) Sajjad Hassan Khan and DPO Syed Ali Kazmi, who have ordered a full-fledged inquiry into the matter.
A case has been registered against both Constable Tauseef and his son Adeel at Sakhi Sarwar police station.
Following the incident, authorities have also suspended the issuance of recruitment permits (Hablans) for officers posted at Sakhi Sarwar police station to ensure transparency in the ongoing police recruitment process.
The incident has raised concerns over nepotism and integrity in law enforcement recruitment, prompting strict scrutiny from senior officials.
