Former prime minister Imran Khan has condemned the Iran strike inside Pakistan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
“We condemn what Iran has done,” he said while talking to the media at Adiala Jail.
He added: “It has to be observed how things reached this level.”
“When Shah Mehmood Qureshi went to Afghanistan as foreign minister, he was assured full cooperation. As prime minister, I went to Iran and met the supreme leader.”
“Bilawal did not pay even a single visit to Afghanistan during his tenure as the foreign minister,” he rued.
He stressed: “Those who want Pak-Iran ties deteriorated are happy. Is it in our interest to spoil relations with Iran?
“Instead of aggravating the situation, the tension should be diffused.

The PTI founder claimed that his party was being ‘crushed’, saying: “Had the elections been held in October, there would have been stability in the country.
"Elections were postponed to crush the PTI.”
“The ‘neutral brothers’ forgot that time waits for no one.
“The situation in Pakistan is that of 1970 when only party ticket won. The oppression that is being done is our election campaign.
“Prisoner number 804 will be written on the posters of our candidates. Despite the atrocities, the party continued its campaign. We have a vote bank.
"Our lawyers did a great job, I want them to get tickets. Umar Ayub and Shibli Faraz have been asked to finalize the tickets."
The ex-premier said he could just watch the state-run PTV which, he claimed, is used for propaganda. I used to watch sports on TV but quit after the World Cup.
“I exercise for one and a half hours in the morning, after which I go to the court. I recite the Holy Quran thrice a day. I studied the Siratun Nabi in jail. I thank those who put me in jail."
"Had I not been in prison, I would not have had the opportunity to read books. In prison, a person gets a chance to think and read.
He cried foul, saying: “The game is not playing according to the law.
"Nawaz Sharif attacked the Supreme Court, he and his supporters will not let the honest judge stand. Nawaz Sharif did not play cricket without his empires."
He regretted: "Ijaz-ul-Hassan was the quality judge."
