The joint parliamentary party meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was held at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad on Monday evening.
The meeting was chaired by Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai and attended by PTI lawmakers from both the National Assembly and the Senate.
According to sources, the meeting focused on formulating a plan of action for the planned protest on February 8. Following the notification of the Leader of the Opposition, participants are also expected to deliberate on the opposition’s future strategy inside the National Assembly.
The agenda further included discussion on the possible return of resignations submitted by opposition members from various standing committees. In addition, a report on the recent Sindh visit of the Movement for the Protection of Constitution will be presented during the meeting.
Sources said that a dinner was part of the meeting to celebrate the appointment of Achakzai as the Leader of the Opposition.
