An earthquake hit different areas in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported late Thursday.
According to the Seismological Centre, the quake was felt in Peshawar, Shangla, Chitral, Malakund, Swat, Nowshera, Upper and Lower Dir and surrounding areas.
The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded as 5 on the Richter scale while its depth was 211km and the epicentre was the Hindu Kush mountain range.
