The Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA) has distanced itself from lawyers’ convention in Islamabad on Sunday.
IHCBA Secretary Barrister Qasim Nawaz Abbasi issued the statement on Sunday. IHCBA clarified that it has no affiliation, involvement, or endorsement of the Lawyers Convention scheduled to be held by a political party in Islamabad.
The association made it clear that any impression associates the IHCBA with the event is incorrect.
The bar association reiterated its commitment to the rule of law, the independence of the judiciary and the supremacy of the Constitution.
