Iranian Interior Minister to visit Pakistan to discuss security, trade

Iranian Interior Minister Dr. Eskandar Momeni is expected to visit Pakistan within the next 48 hours for high-level talks on bilateral cooperation, security and trade, sources said.

According to sources, Dr. Momeni will be accompanied by a delegation during the visit and is scheduled to hold talks with Pakistan's Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi.

The discussions will focus on promoting bilateral trade and enhancing cooperation on key security issues between the two neighbouring countries. The two sides are also expected to review the prevailing regional situation in light of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and explore ways to strengthen coordination on matters of mutual interest.

Sources said the visit aims to deepen cooperation between the interior ministries of Pakistan and Iran. The meeting will cover a wide range of issues, including security cooperation, counter-terrorism, cyber security, immigration and border management.

The visit is expected to reinforce bilateral coordination and contribute to stronger institutional collaboration between the two countries in addressing shared security challenges and expanding economic cooperation.
