The Capital Development Authority (CDA), the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and the district administration have announced a live public screening of the FIFA World Cup final at D-Chowk, offering football fans an opportunity to watch the match on what officials describe as Pakistan's largest outdoor screen, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Football enthusiasts will be able to watch the highly anticipated final between Spain and Argentina at the specially arranged venue in the heart of the federal capital.
According to the organisers, the live screening will begin at 11:00pm on Sunday. The event will also feature food stalls and other facilities to provide a festive atmosphere for spectators.
Authorities have urged citizens attending the screening to follow traffic police guidelines, particularly regarding parking arrangements, to ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience.
The initiative has been presented as a joint effort by the CDA, MCI and the district administration to provide residents with a safe and enjoyable public viewing experience for one of the world's biggest sporting events.
