At least 53 children have died from measles in Sindh so far this year, according to official health data, as medical experts warn of the growing spread of the highly contagious viral disease across Pakistan, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.

Figures released by the Sindh Health Department showed that 102 measles-related deaths were reported nationwide during the first 26 weeks of 2026.

The data revealed that 7,105 suspected measles cases were reported in Sindh, of which 2,280 were confirmed through laboratory testing.

Across Pakistan, authorities recorded 29,066 suspected measles cases, while 8,309 cases have been laboratory confirmed.
