A Station House Officer (SHO) Sunday drank acid mistakenly during an operation in the area of Kacha in Kandhkot.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the SHO drank acid from a bottle mistaking it for water which he found in the armoured vehicle.
The police said that the official was transferred to the hospital in critical condition.
