A massive fire that erupted in a hotel in Murree was brought under control on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The hotel is located near Company Bagh in Murree. According to details, due to the timely action of Rescue 1122, the fire was restricted from spreading to the hall’s wooden ceiling.
Rescue personnel conducted a successful operation and controlled the fire from expanding. No loss of life was reported from the site of the incident.
However, timely action could have prevented major financial losses.
In another incident, a massive fire broke out in the Gazara forest in Murree, engulfing a large part of the forest.
Residents in the area are trying to bring the fire under control on their own. They said that due to inefficiency and negligence of the Forest Department, incidents of fire frequently happen, destroying precious trees, animals, and birds.
The residents further said that continuous fires are causing severe damage to the environment and valuable natural resources.
