CM Free Wi-Fi scope expanded in Lahore

CM Free Wi-Fi scope has further been expanded as provision of Free Wi-Fi service increased from 200 to 230 locations in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to spokesperson of Safe Cities, Free Wi-Fi service in Lahore shifted to modern technology Wi-Fi-6 and thanks to Wi-Fi-6 technology, it will be possible to provide faster internet to users. 

Spokesperson said that Safe City is providing free Wi-Fi service at 300 points in 11 districts of Punjab. 

Service is active in Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum and Attock.

Free Wi-Fi service is also available at important locations in Sahiwal, Okara and Murree.

The scope of free Wi-Fi service will soon be expanded to the whole of Punjab. 

So far, more than 17.70 million users have used 438 TB of data and citizens are making their daily lives easier by using the free Wi-Fi service. 

On the orders of the Chief Minister, Punjab is being made a digital province. 

Free Wi-Fi emergency service is not for video streaming or entertainment.
