A fire broke out in Model Bazaar on Jhang Road in Faisalabad on Wednesday, destroying scores of shops, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to rescue officials, the fire broke out due to short-circuit which engulfed 56 grocery and fruit shops, reducing them to ashes.
However, the rescue teams reached the spot and succeeded to control fire. Shop owners also reached the Model Bazaar after receiving information.
Rescue officials said that as a result of the fire a major part of the market badly affected.
According to CCTV footage the Model Bazaar administration tried to extinguish the fire when the fire broke out after short circuit but they failed.
