Good news for the country's economy as Mari Energy has announced a new discovery of oil and gas in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
In this regard, Mari Energy has written a letter to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and informed about the important information.
Mari Energy announced that a major discovery of gas and crude oil has been made in Sindh.
Gas and crude oil have been discovered from the Shams-1 well of the Mari D&PL block in Ghotki district of Sindh.
The well has found large reserves of about 47.98 million cubic feet of gas per day and 64 barrels of crude oil reserves have been found from the same well daily.
Drilling of Shams-I well started on January 30, 2026.
The Shams One well was drilled to a depth of about 3075 meters.
During testing, the well pressure was recorded at 2,404 PSIG.
Mari Energy is the 100 percent operator and owner of this block.
