Security placed on high alert during Eid in Lahore

Security has been put on high alert across Lahore for ensuring safe Eid al-Fitr, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to DIG Faisal Kamran, a comprehensive security plan has been implemented in view of Eid shopping. 

Additional police personnel have been deployed in 87 markets.

Police help desks have been set up in 30 important commercial centers.

Male and female police personnel have been deployed at the help desk.

Cycle and horse patrolling has been increased in important markets.

Strict arrangements have been made in the markets for the protection of citizens.

More than 1,000 personnel have been deployed on duty for crowd control.

Patrols of police personnel in plain clothes have been further increased.

Preventing harassment of women has been declared top priority.

More than 2,000 personnel of Lahore Police have been deployed in the markets and bazaars.
