In a horrifying incident in India's Narayanpet district, a crocodile attacked and swallowed a farmer whole, causing widespread panic in the local community.
The tragic event occurred while the farmer, identified as 55-year-old Ganka Thumpa, was working near a riverbank.
According to reports, Ganka Thumpa was checking a valve connected to a pipeline drawing water from the river when a large crocodile suddenly emerged from the water and attacked him from behind.
His companion attempted to rescue him but was unsuccessful. He immediately alerted the villagers and the farmer's family.
Villagers rushed to the scene and began searching for Ganka.
Eventually, they spotted the crocodile with the farmer's body partially in its jaws.
As the villagers made noise to scare the reptile, it retreated into deeper waters, taking the body with it.
This tragic incident has raised concerns about human-wildlife conflicts in the region, especially in areas where human activities intersect with crocodile habitats.
