The National Security Advisers (NSAs) of Iran and Pakistan held a detailed telephone conversation to discuss regional security and bilateral cooperation, according to reports from the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and official sources.
Iran’s National Security Adviser, General Ali Akbar Ahmadian, who also serves as Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, spoke with his Pakistani counterpart, General Asim Malik, head of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), during the call.
According to IRNA, both leaders emphasised the importance of strengthening political, economic, and security cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.
General Ahmadian underlined that Iran and Pakistan "will not allow enemies of regional peace to prevail."
Sources indicated that General Asim Malik praised Iran’s constructive role in regional stability and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing relations with Iran across political, security, and social spheres.
The conversation comes amid a series of high-level regional security discussions. Notably, Iran’s NSA also held a phone call with India's National Security Adviser a day earlier, reflecting Iran's active engagement in regional diplomatic efforts.
