Karachi Kings Monday decided to field first against Islamabad United after winning the toss in the 30th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 being played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Karachi Kings captain David Warner said: "We're gonna have a ball first tonight. It gives us an opportunity to try and chase something. I think our bowlers have been incredibly well this tournament, and especially in the Powerplay, and we know how this figure's gonna play. We're gonna try and restrict Islamabad to a total that we think we can chase. I just think overall, it's the true test of the game. In Karachi, you have a couple of different surfaces, but you adapt as a batsman. It looks like a nice surface, got a nice shine on it. As I said, hopefully we can restrict Islamabad to a competitive total for us. Timmy Seifert comes in for Ben McDermott. It's important for us. Over the whole tournament, there have been a lot of high, high balls that have gone in the air. So they're not easy to catch. You don't have time to really practice when you've got a quick turnaround, but for us, it is just to play a complete game, and hopefully we can do that tonight."

Karachi Kings currently hold second place with 12 points, and Islamabad United is in fourth position, with 10 points. Their last match against United was one-sided, with their opponents winning comfortably by six wickets thanks to a solid bowling performance that limited the Kings to just 128. Islamabad also has a strong track record versus Karachi, having won all five of their previous meetings. However, the United team is coming off a poor run of form. After an impressive beginning to the season with five straight victories, they've fallen in the second half, losing their past four matches in a row.
