Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's Suthra Punjab workers from Nankana registered a protest at the Deputy Commissioner’s office against non-payment of salaries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Suthra Punjab workers, including women and supervisors, were also present in the protest.
Workers said that some people have not received salaries for four months and some for two months.
Workers have demanded from Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tasleem Akhtar Rao to arrange for their salaries before Eid.
Suthra Punjab workers were carrying brooms, shovels, and pails in their hands.
Workers were shouting slogans of Maryam Nawaz Zindabad (Long live Maryam Nawaz).
Workers held high the tools of cleanliness in their own hands and demanded salaries from the Deputy Commissioner.
Workers dispersed peacefully after recording the protest and went to their respective duties.
