The main race of the four-day Thal Desert Jeep Rally has been kicked off on Saturday morning (today), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) has arranged the the seventh edition of the rally at the desert and marshy track of around 2.8 kilometers of Southern Punjab Thal desert in district Muzaffargarh and Layyah.
Today, stock category race is being arranged in which rally drivers and racers from across the country.

Earlier, TDCP Event Manager Muhammad Nouman said that some 115 drivers are participating in the Thal Desert Jeep Rally.

As per the TDCP schedule, the starting point for the rally is the Changa Manga Head in Muhammad Wala with mid-break of the track is Chobara Tehsil in Layyah.

Women Racers Category Race
The modified vehicles and women category race and dirt bike race will be held on Novemb 20 (Sunday).
Around 14 check posts have been established along the rally course.
The local administration arranged Rescue 1122 ambulances, recovery vehicles and other emergency facilities along the length of the track to ensure the safety of the drivers.
