The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has extended the deadline for online applications to medical and dental colleges across Punjab, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
According to a UHS spokesperson, candidates seeking admission to public sector medical colleges can submit their applications until November 30, while the deadline for private medical colleges is set at December 15.
The decision was made during a meeting of the Provincial Admission Committee, chaired by Secretary Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education, Azmat Mahmood. Vice chancellors of public medical universities attended the session as committee members.
For public sector dental colleges, the application deadline has been extended to December 31.
In contrast, candidates applying for BDS programmes in private dental colleges will be able to submit their online forms until January 15, 2026.
The UHS spokesperson said the previous deadline was November 21, but the extension was granted to facilitate students and ensure maximum participation.
The committee, he added, reached the decision unanimously to provide more applicants with the opportunity to apply.
