The Pakistan Navy carried out a major anti-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea, seizing over 2,000 kilograms of methamphetamine (ice) worth approximately $130 million, officials said Wednesday.
The operation was conducted by PNS Tabuk during the Regional Maritime Security Patrol in support of Task Force 150 of the Saudi-led Combined Maritime Forces. The drugs were recovered from a suspicious fishing boat intercepted at sea.
This marks the third consecutive successful anti-narcotics operation by the Pakistan Navy in the last two months, highlighting its ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities in national waters.
Pakistan Navy remains steadfast in its resolve to safeguard national maritime interests and uphold principles of the United Nations Convention on the Law of Sea (UNCLOS) while contributing to the global commons through maritime security efforts.
