Dozens of Serene Air workers have launched a protest against the airline after three consecutive months of unpaid salaries, workers confirmed on Wednesday.
According to protesting staff members, including pilots, air hostesses, and ground crew, the non-payment of salaries has caused severe financial difficulties.
Workers said that since the airline suspended its operations in September, no salaries have been issued.
They added that daily expenses and household needs have become nearly impossible to manage due to the prolonged delay.
Despite repeated commitments from the airline’s management, employees say that not a single assurance has been fulfilled.
Workers warned that they would not resume duties until all pending salaries were cleared.
They further stated that if the management fails to act immediately, they will announce a full-scale protest.
Employees announced that they would keep all work completely halted until their demands were accepted, calling on the management to deliver on its promises without further delay.
