Pakistan reports 433 new coronavirus cases with five deaths

Pakistan reported only 433 new coronavirus cases Monday in the past 24 hours (Sunday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.

According to the figures, 433 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours after conducting 27091 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 323, 524 that returned positive after conducting 4101115 total tests so far.

The number of active cases in the country reached 9384 with 526 patients in critical condition. There are 779 virus patient currently admitted to hospitals while 74 patients are on ventilators.

There were 340 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 307,409 with a 95% recovery rate.

However, there were five more causalities related to the deadly disease as death toll due to coronavirus has reached 6,659 that represents a ratio of 2.1%.

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported relatively 93 cases in last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 101,652 with 2116 active cases. The province did not report any new virus-related death for the second consecutive day as death toll remains at 2,298. With 18 new recoveries, 97,238 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

The most affected province Sindh has once again recorded most cases in the country as it registered 135 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 141,841 with 4435 active cases. The province also recorded two new deaths, taking the death toll to 2,581. With 151 new recoveries, 134,825 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 47 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 38,645 with 416 active cases. The province reported no new death as death toll remains 1,265. With 65 new recoveries, 36,964 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan has recorded another 19 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 15,688 with 210 active cases. The province reported one new virus-related death as the death toll reached at 148. With 21 new recoveries, 15,330 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad has recorded 73 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 18,069 with 1130 active cases. One new death was reported in the Federal Capital as virus death toll reached 195. With 72 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients reached at 16, 447 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 61 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 3498 with 822 active cases. With one new death, the death toll reached 82. There were no new recovery in the AJK as 2594 patients have recovered so far from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan has recorded 12 new cases during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 4059 with 255 active cases. With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remained at 90. There were 12 more patients recovered from the deadly disease as 3,714 patients have recovered from the virus so far.
