In view of risks of terror attacks, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in 157 intelligence-based operations carried out in different cities of Punjab has arrested nine terrorists, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the spokesman for the CTD, the operations were carried out in Lahore, Faisalabad, Nankana Sahib, Rahim Yar Khan, Sheikhupura and Rawalpindi cities of the province.
Giving further details, the spokesman said those taken into custody included two ‘Daesh’ commanders belonging to a suburban village of Lahore, bordering India. “Explosives, 12 detonators, prima card, cellphones, explosives and cash were also recovered from the terrorists,” he concluded.
