The Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has arrested an Afghan suicide bomber during an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to security officials, the arrested suspect has been identified as Naimatullah, son of Musa Jan, a resident of Kandahar province in Afghanistan.
The bomber revealed during interrogation that he had undergone one week of training, though the full course was designed to last three months.
Naimatullah stated that the training focused on executing suicide attacks against the Pakistan army using vehicles, and that he was part of a group of around 40 individuals who had gathered in Khost province before entering Pakistan via the Chiwar route.
Authorities have taken the suspect into custody for further interrogation to uncover details of his network, training facilitators, and intended targets.
The FC has reportedly intensified security operations in the tribal districts to prevent any possible terrorist activity.
