Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz assigned an October 30, 2025, deadline for expansion in the jurisdiction of the Punjab Revenue Authority in 30 districts of the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
She gave these directives while presiding over a special meeting about revenue collection in Lahore. The participants of the meeting reviewed the inclusion of 19 new sectors in Punjab.
The Chief Minister directed to establishment of special units in the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) to generate more revenue.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also directed to assignment of additional responsibilities to these additional director-generals.
The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) also introduced a mobile app for the facilitation of taxpayers.
The Chief Minister directed not to harass taxpayers and take measures to bring more sectors under the tax net.
Maryam Nawaz is directed to adopt transparency in tax revenue.
