The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle arrested three persons and recovered Rs10.5 million from their custody in Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The raid was conducted at the illegal foreign currency exchange located at Pando Chowk in Peshawar.
All three accused were identified as Mohammad, Khayal Gul and Ashraf.
The FIA team recovered Rs 86,77,000, SR 90,000 from their possession. The FIA team also seized the mobile phone and the illegal currency exchange.
The team also collected all the evidence from the mobile phones of the accused. The accused were operating a currency exchange without obtaining a license.
During interrogation, the accused failed to satisfy the FIA team. An investigation is underway from the arrested accused in this regard.
