Complaint filed against IHC judge‎ Justice Sardar Ijaz ‎Ishaq

Lawyer Muhammad Waqas Malik Friday filed a complaint with the Supreme Judicial Council seeking the removal of Justice Sardar Ejaz ‎Ishaq from office on grounds of misconduct, reported 24NewsHD TV.‎

The complaint alleges corruption, bias and breach of oath. Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq was also accused of giving decisions with ‎personal grudge and bias. The judicial oath was violated by reserving the decision in the Maryam Fayyaz case for three years. The ‎decision in the cut and weld vehicle case was also subject to unusual delay. The delay in decisions has damaged public trust.‎

Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq formed a group with fellow judges and influenced the work of the court. Confrontation was conducted ‎against the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court and other judges. The complaint alleges that he ran a private law firm and ‎exerted influence as a judge.‎

The complaint alleged that the proceedings of blasphemy cases were broadcast live to spread incitement. It is alleged that the judiciary was used for political purposes in ‎collusion with lawyer Iman Mazari. Anti-military and anti-state narratives were spread.‎
