Tall claims made by Pakistan Railways’ (PR) officials lie exposed as it has now emerged that the department’s helpline service-117 has been dysfunctional for the last three months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that salaries, amounting to Rs2 million, could not be paid to 40 helpline employees due to the paucity of funds and non-payment of arrears.
Passengers are in great distress owing to dysfunctional helpline service.
