Senate Opposition Leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas has confirmed that he met Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi this week, saying the meeting discussed issues concerning PTI founder Imran Khan and the opposition’s planned long march.
“Yes, we certainly met,” he said in response to a journalist’s question about whether he had met Naqvi during the week.
Raja Nasir Abbas said matters concerning Imran Khan were discussed in detail during the meeting, along with issues related to the long march.
He said it was the responsibility of political leaders to resolve the country’s issues, including those concerning Imran Khan, whom he said was not being provided the basic rights of an arrested person.
Regarding the planned protest, Raja Nasir Abbas clarified that PTI had announced the long march as a peaceful and lawful means of conveying its message to the people.
He called on the government to recognize the protest as such and sit down for talks.
