Pakistan has called for uninterrupted energy supplies and expeditious passage of ships as these were of extreme importance for developing countries and global supply chains, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The call was made when Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Saturday.
The two leaders discussed the latest regional developments.
During the phone call, Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of uninterrupted energy supplies and the safe and expeditious passage of ships, particularly given their implications for developing countries and global supply chains.
He underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means to ensure peace and stability in the region.
The two foreign ministers agreed to maintain close cooperation and to meet in New York on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly.
