Two children Sunday drowned in a pond in Kharian town of  Punjab, 24News HD TV channel reported on Sunday 

The tragedy took place in Begha area where three brothers went for taking bath in a pond. 

Some locals rushed to the spot after getting to know the incident.

They succeeded in save one of the siblings  whiel following their hue and cry before being drawn in the water, rushed to the pond and succeeded to rescue one of them.

Locals recovered two children’s dead bodies from the pond after some efforts and handed them over to the family.
