Two people were killed while another two were seriously injured as a pizza shop and a house were completely razed to the ground following a gas cylinder explosion in Gujrat on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The deceased during the blast which took place in the Muslimabad area of the city also include a girl.

Gujrat DPO Umar Salamat was supervising the rescue operation till the last reports came in. A heavy contingent of police was also present on the occasion.

The dead, as well as the injured, were shifted to Aziz Shaheed Bhatti Hospital.
