Prime Minister Shehbaz Tuesday on his Twitter handle wrote: “ECP verdict on [sic] PTI foreign funding case chargesheets Imran Niazi for violating the Constitution, submitting false affidavits & accepting foreign money. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz tweeted: “The one who delivered speeches of liberating the nation from slavery turned out to be a slave of external powers himself. He kept accepting money from them and kept using it to create chaos and destruction in the country. This foreign agent was installed to stop the development of Pakistan and to end the CPEC. Our heads have bowed down in shame.”

Govt to take PTI case to SC, will request full court bench: Dastgir

Meanwhile, Federal Minister Khurram Dastgir has said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan who used to claim to be an honest and trustworthy person has been proved liar after the ECP verdict in the prohibited funding case.

Khurram Dastgir was holding a press conference along with the Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Masood Malik on Tuesday.

Dastgir said that the government would take the PTI foreign funding matter to the Supreme Court and would request for the full court bench hearing on the case.

He said that the ECP pointed out the wrongdoing of the PTI and now the government would take the case to the Supreme Court.

He said that justice was delivered after a delay of eight years ‘now we expect that the apex court will quickly decide the case’.

Lashing out at Imran for receiving funds from foreigners, Dastgir said that country’s law prohibits political parties to accepting funds from any foreign company. He criticized the PTI chief for submitting a false declaration to the ECP. He said by submitting misdeclaration, the former ‘selected’ prime minister deceived the public.

He said that the foreign funding case was filed in the ECP by the most senior member of the PTI Akbar S Babar.

Speaking on the occasion, State Minister Musadik Malik wondered who was ‘imported’ – Imran or current rulers – as it was Imran who received funds from 350 foreign companies.

He took swipe at Imran saying that during one of his public rallies, he had taken out a piece of paper from his pocket and declared that all political parties were foreign agents. “But it has been proved today that Imran himself is a foreign agent,” he added.

He derided that the former prime minister was going to build the State of Medina with his foreign funds.

Malik said that the Imran government had given incentives to the Abraaj Group owned by Arif Naqvi.

PML-N says ‘thief, liar’ Imran Khan has been caught after eight years

Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has asked Imran Khan to resign from the PTI chairmanship as he has been declared ‘dishonest’ by the Election Commission of Pakistan in its verdict in the party’s prohibited funding case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing the media on Tuesday, the minister said that the ‘thief’ and ‘liar’ had been caught after eight years. She said that Imran was no longer ‘honest’ and ‘trustworthy’ so he should resign from the PTI chairmanship.

The ECP verdict in the PTI foreign funding case is confirmation of Imran’s crimes, Aurangzeb said adding ‘PTI chief was and is a part of a foreign conspiracy’.

She said that he got funding from Israel, India, America Canada and several other countries and created a chaos in Pakistan through his prohibited funding.

She said Imran got funds from 351 foreign companies and 34 foreign nationals and submitted a false declaration to the Election Commission. She said that he used to run 13 illegal accounts and concealed them from the ECP.

Ms Aurangzeb said since Imran was guilty, that’s why he was constantly attacking the ECP.
