Dengue claims another life in Lahore

Dengue on Thursday claimed the life of another patient in Lahore, also infecting 125 more people in the provincial capital while another 30 people across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The total number of infected people in Punjab has now reached 25,436.

Punjab Health Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch said that anti-dengue teams discarded dengue larva from 300 indoor and outdoor places including 246 from Lahore.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, another 35 cases were reported across the province including 16 in the provincial capital Peshawar taking the tally to 10468.

Health authorities said that 26 patients of dengue virus fever are being admitted to the hospitals, however, another 26 people were also successfully recovered from hospitals.

Dengue has killed ten people in the province.

Dengue cases are on the decline with the decrease in mercury across the country.
