Sindh Govt ready to hold LG polls, authorities brief Zardari

A delegation of the Sindh Government met with former President Asif Ali Zardari and briefed him that they are ready to hold Local Government (LG) Elections in the province.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, a delegation includes Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Sharjeel Inam Memon, and former Karachi administrator Murtaza Wahab called on Zardari at Bilawal House on Monday evening.

the channel said Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah briefed the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leadership regarding the local body elections and informed them that his government is ready to conduct local body elections.

As per the report, the former President was informed by The Sindh authorities about all the arrangements and expressed a worry that after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decision, making lame accuses will not be considered a legal and moral justification and if the election will be postponed then other parties will go to court.

In the meeting, former President Asif Ali Zardari expressed confidence in the arrangements of the Sindh government.
