Watch out the winners of 'Kya Drama Hai' 1st Drama Icon Awards 2023

The popular Pakistani drama review show ‘Kya Drama Hai’ hosted by Mukarram Kaleem has organized the 1st Drama Icon Awards 2023 ceremony for the very first time on Pakistan's electronic media.

The 1st Drama Icon Awards ceremony was organized by the whole team of ‘Kya Drama Hai’ including the panel of judges of the four seasons of the show and the host Mukarram Kaleem.

The judges of season one were Faisal Qureshi, Atiqa Odhu, and Rubina Ashraf.

The season two judges were Rubina Ashraf, Maria Wasti, and Nadia Khan.

The judges of seasons three and four were Marina Khan, Rubina Ashraf, and Nadia Khan.

The foundation of the awards has been laid under the fact that in the drama industry, the award will now be given only to those who truly deserve it.

The ceremony was held at the National Academy of Performing Arts, Karachi (NAPA), the symbol of art and drama.

During the span of the mesmerizing event, the judges and charming hosts celebrated the achievements of talented Pakistani actors and actresses who performed wholeheartedly in their assigned projects.

The versatile Pakistani showbiz personalities graced the occasion with their presence including Bushra Ansari, Mohib Mirza, Hina Dilpazeer, Sabeena Farooq, Usman Pirzada, Shamoon Abbasi, Farhan Ally Agha, Saqib Sameer, Fifi Haroon, Shaheera Jalil Albasit, Tapu Javeri, Nadeem Baig, Saqib Malik, Saim Sadiq, Mohsin Ali, Saira Ghulam Nabi and many other.

The host Mukarram Kaleem as well as the gorgeous ladies Nadia Khan, Rubina Ashraf, Marina Khan, and Maria Wasti started the awards ceremony by unveiling the trophy.

The most interesting thing to be noticed was that the awards for the best Director of Photography (DOP) and the best Assistant Director (AD) were also announced.

A total of 26 awards were honored in different categories of Mini-series Critics choice and Popular choice.

Actor Mohammed Ehteshamuddin won the Best Actor Critic Award. In contrast, rising starlet Sabeena Farooq won the Best Actress Critics Award for the blockbuster Pakistani Green Entertainment drama serial ‘Kabli Pulao’ while ‘Kabli Pulao’ itself won the Best Drama Critics Award.

The heartthrob Wahaj Ali won the Best Actor Popular Award whereas stunning Yumna Zaidi won the Best Actress Popular Award for another blockbuster Pakistani drama serial ‘Tere Bin’ while ‘Tere Bin’ itself won the Best Drama Popular Award.

On the other hand, Mahira Khan, Faysal Quraishi, Ahsan Khan, Muneeb Butt, Mohib Mirza, Farhan Ally Agha, Huma Nawab, Nadia Afghan, Saqib Sameer, Abdullah Farhatullah and Shaheera Jalil Albasit also received the titles.
