The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Wednesday approved cut in electricity rates by 44 paisas per unit, thus providing overall relief of Rs4.40 billion to the consumers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The NEPRA chairman said electricity rates, which were supposed to be slashed by more than 87 paisas, had been cut by 44 paisas per unit under April’s fuel price adjustment.
