Fire breaks out at Karachi’s garments factory

The fire that had erupted at a garments factory in Karachi’s Korangi Industrial Area at around 3:00 early Thursday morning was finally extinguished after the hectic efforts of several hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

Six vehicles of the fire department experienced great difficulty in battling the blaze, which had started in the factory’s basement, while all the routes leading to the site of the fire had to be closed in order to prevent it from spreading further. 

On the other hand, flames were still raging at a superstore near Jail Chowrangi area of the city till last reports came in. 

Rescue personnel were facing difficulties in reaching basement of the store because of the smoke, while cracks also developed in the store’s building.
