Pakistan, TTP agree on ceasefire

Pakistan and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Thursday agreed on a ceasefire, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As peace talks are underway with the TTP, the second round of talks will begin in 15 days, sources said.

According to details, both sides have agreed to continue talks.

Till further orders, no action will be taken against each other.

Sources privy to the matter said the first meeting of the peace agreement with the TTP ended successfully.

Jirga member who was present during peace talks has talked to 24NewsHD TV channel.

It is pertinent to note that in the peace talks, the TTP is represented by Mufti Ghofran, Commander Zarar and Omar Khalid Khorasani while the Pakistani delegation comprises senior military and intelligence officials. A second committee has also been formed by the Pakistani authorities.

The current talks between the two sides have been going on in Kabul since the start of this month and resulted in the extension of the ceasefire between the forces and the Taliban on two occasions.
