The unbridled hunting of the rare birds is going on in Arifwala district of Punjab, thanks to the authorities’ apathy.

In yet another spectacle of government’s apathy, the hunters have pervaded almost the whole district but they particularly active in the Qaboola and Chowk Marla areas.

While the wildlife officers are slumbering in their offices, the fearless hunters are not only killing the precious birds in large numbers they also keep flaunting their hunt on the social media.

If no timely action is taken, it is feared that this persistent hunt will lead to sooner than late extinction of the rare bird species.
