Pakistan Foreign Shah Mehmood Qureshi telephoned his Swiss counterpart Ignazio Cassis and discussed with him measures to cope with the challenge of COVID-19 on Friday.

He shared PM Imran Khan's global initiative of debt relief with the Swiss leader. He expressed condolence over recent deaths due to coronavirus in Switzerland.

The two leaders agreed to continue negotiations and cooperation to cope with global challenges.

FM Qureshi lauded the Switzerland government for taking effective and timely measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.

He thanked Switzerland for displaying the Pakistani flag in solidarity. Every night, the popular mountain is lit up with projections of images, including flags of countries across the globe, that have been hit with the deadly disease.
