The UK High Commission in Islamabad on Saturday said the registration portal for the planned nine chartered flights from Pakistan had been closed.

In a series of tweets, the high commission said, “If you’re a British national and you require consular assistance, use the contact details on our Travel Advice page to get in touch.”

“If you registered for a flight before the registration portal closed, you have been placed on a waiting list. If you are allocated to a flight, you will receive a confirmation email with your flight time 24 hours before departure,” it added.

Earlier on Thursday, the UK High Commission said hundreds of British nationals had left for their homes in the first two flights – Karachi-London Heathrow and Islamabad-Manchester – of the latest series of chartered operations being operated by the Qatar Airways.

According to the British High Commission, over 300 passengers boarded the aircraft from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

The British government has arranged the second set of chartered flights as a large of Brits are still stuck in Pakistan.

Thousands of British nationals have left Pakistan through the first set of 10 chartered flights and the commercial operation being run by the PIA.

The third chartered flight left Islamabad for Manchester at 11:55am on Saturday.

The schedule of the remaining flights is given below:

Islamabad-London Heathrow ----------------- May 4

Islamabad-Manchester            ----------------- May 5, 6
