All set to hold special CSS exam in December

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) is all set to hold a special exam for the Civil Superior Services (CSS) in December, the 24NewsHD TV reported Friday.

The prime mister had directed for holding the special CSS exam on May 4 against the posts that left vacant after the CSS exams held in the previous years.  

The sources in the Establishment Division has said that a summary I this regard has been sent to the prime minister and the federal cabinet for approval.

According to details, the special exam would be taken against the 188 Grade 17 vacant posts in different service cadres.

These 188 seats have been lying vacant after they could not be filled during the CSS exams held in the last four years.

Among these 188 posts, 49 posts belonged to the reserved quota for the Balochistan citizens.

There are 41 vacant seats against the quota of Sindh rural while 19 for Sindh Urban.

Some 22 posts are vacant from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s quota while 16 from erstwhile FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan.

There are two posts for Azad Jammu Kashmir’s quota and 39 are up for grabs from Punjab’s minorities quota.

The Federal Public Service Commission will hold this special CSS exam in December 2020.
